Karnataka HC grants Darshan six weeks of bail

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been granted six weeks of interim bail by the Karnataka High Court to undergo spine surgery, following his arrest in June 2024 for allegedly orchestrating the murder of fan Renukaswamy. Darshan, who has been in custody since, recently underwent medical exams that recommended surgery. Alongside his interim bail, he has also applied for regular bail, which remains pending.
