Well, the wait is over as he has made his music video debut with ‘Filhall’, a heart-breaking romantic number, which has just been unveiled. If the initial reactions to this B Praak and Jaani created soulful song are any indication, this one is going to be a major chartbuster in very quick time from now. Lasting a good five minutes, this soulful track is accentuated further by simple yet excellent visuals, courtesy director Arvinder Khaira, who has made sure that there is an entire story to be told there. However, what makes the song special is the manner in which Akshay Kumar approaches the narrative and makes sure that the pain and void is conveyed through facial expressions and body language with eyes doing the talking. The stage and setting is that of Akshay Kumar playing a surgeon who gets an accident case of his former girlfriend, enacted by competent debutant Nupur Sanon (sister of Akshay’s Housefull 4 co-star Kriti Sanon). Even as he attends to her, old memories rekindle and it is revealed how they met and then separated. There is a twist in the tale though and one ends up wondering if the duo shall meet. What can he said though is that those who loved the chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in their romantic musical drama Namaste London would definitely trip over what Akshay Kumar and Nupur Sanon bring on board with ‘Filhall’. Over the years, the song has gained cult status featuring Raveena Tandon and Govinda's signature moves. The recreation of the song will be choreographed by Farah Khan. Director Mudassar Aziz is excited to have her on board because the choreographer-turned-filmmaker has seen his growth from an assistant director to a writer and finally, a filmmaker. Mudassar further said that their story is based in a certain milieu. To take the narrative forward, they required most songs. The makers collectively felt that they needed a fun song to communicate with the audience and that the characters could let loose in an alternate setting, where even the Patni and Woh could be together. This much-awaited romantic comedy is the remake of BR Chopra’s 1978 classic hit film which starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta. Produced by T-series and BR Films, Pati Patni Aur Woh is slated to release on December 6.

For his birthday resolution, the actor said that he plans on overcoming his fear of water by treating himself to a cool water sport. He said that one of the reasons that they are going to Maldives is because he wants to go scuba diving, which has been on his bucket list for a long time. On the work front, he will essay the role of an army officer in his next. Spilling the beans on his preparation, he said that he recently went to Pune and spent a couple of days with the Assam Rifles (Indian paramilitary force). Varun Dhawan was answering fan questions, when one of the fans asked him, “When can we see you, Alia and Sidharth together again?” Responding to the question Varun Dhawan revealed that he had asked Karan Johar to cast the trio for Dostana 2. “You will have to ask this question Karan Johar. There was a film recently where I told Karan that he should take us three for. But he didn't agree. I told him to take us three for Dostana 2. I said it would be interesting. He thought I was kidding. But the current cast is also very exciting,” he said. On Monday, the trio visited Karan Johar's office to begin the prep session for the film. Colin D'cunha shared a photo on his Instagram story where the three of them were just goofing around. Kartik teamed up a white t-shirt with beige pants whereas Lakshya wore a black sweatshirt and denims. Janhvi kept it casual in a light blue shirt, denim and white sneakers. Dostana 2 is slated for 2020 release. The original film was directed by Tarun Mansukhani and released in 2008. It starred Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles.
On a 2-day break in Chennai to meet his sons, Prabhu Dheva admits it is a challenge. “It has to be completely different character. Otherwise, audiences will say we are repeating. We are working on it. The target is Eid and we will make it on time. I work fast.” Prabhu, who has been a favourite with Salman ever since they worked together as director and actor in 2009’s blockbuster Wanted, says Dabangg 3 is going to please the Salmaniacs. “It is a typical Salman Khan film. Doing a Dabangg film was a challenge to me. I was new to the Dabangg universe. Everyone else had done the first and second parts of Dabangg. Of course, I had seen both the earlier films. So I made an effort to get into the groove. Luckily for me, I didn’t fall flat.” Because of the double commitment Prabhu doesn’t get to spend much time with his children. “I hardly get time to be with them. Says a source from the creative team, “While the team has released the first look of Ranveer as Kapil and the 1983 winning cricket team, before the ’83 cast and crew left for the London shoot, Deepika’s look as Romi Dev, is much anticipated. She is also producing the film. At the wrap party last week, she personally invited each and every guest that was invited and is taking keen interest in the movie’s journey. After seeing Ranveer’s striking resemblance to Kapil in the first look and the reaction of the other cast, representing the ’83 cricket team, people are extremely excited about Deepika’s look in the movie. The makers are undecided whether to release her look solo or with Ranveer in January 2020 but the first teaser promo of ’83 will definitely be out then as the movie releases in April. The shoot of ‘83 is over, including the shooting of Deepika and Ranveer. Only a few days of patchwork remain, which include a couple of celebrations across the country after India won the Prudential Cup.” While Ranveer’s first look has stirred much excitement, Deepika’s has been a closely guarded secret. Apart from Ranveer, Deepika also has scenes with Madan Lal’s (played by Harrdy Sandhu) wife, Annu, as both had gone to see the India-Zimbabwe match at Tunbridge Wells. Romi was present at the ground in London and later met Kapil at the hotel after the victory. “Deepika sports a shorter hairstyle as Romi did in those years but has not done any prosthetics. Her makeup done by makeup and prosthetics artist, Cloover Wootton. Deepika’s look was kept strictly under wraps during the shoot as nobody was allowed with camera and mobiles phones on the sets. The makers plan to reveal her look in time with proper planning and January seems to be the best months. It may be a teaser promo or a first look poster.” Deepika and Ranveer shot some emotional and dramatic moments in July when they were in London. The source says, “Kapil Dev and his wife Romi Bhatia were also there and one of the highlights of the shoot was when Romi dropped in once on the sets in London and was stunned to see the resemblance to her. When Romi saw Deepika on the sets, she said that she was looking at a mirror image of hers, 20 years ago. There is a stunning similarity. Kabir had done his research and homework before he started the movie. He and Ranveer had met Romi and Kapil at their Delhi home for around 10 days, before the London schedule so the filmmaker had the opportunity to discuss all those inputs with Deepika before they began the shoot.” Deepika has met Romi a couple of times and even on her wedding reception. Deepika and her family have known Kapil Dev and family since years and have met socially before. But once after confirming to play the role she met Romi many times in Mumbai and Delhi (before the shoot) as part of her prep work, to connect with her and understand her perspective.
