Israel's ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, has criticised Hindi movie 'Bawaal' for its "trivialisation" of the Holocaust, saying it contains a "poor choice of terminology and symbolism". The Varun Dhawan-starring production has caused a stir for using the Holocaust to tell a story of marital discord. The Simon Wiesenthal Center, dedicated to the memory of Holocaust victims, criticised the film on Tuesday for an "outlandish abuse of the Nazi Holocaust as a plot device". The film was released on 21 July.
